Thanksgiving is this week and I can guess what you are thinking and doing.
Running around like a chicken with your head cut off, trying to buy everything in preparation for one meal on one day.
Meanwhile, you get snappy with your family because you’re in a constant state of rushing. Then you become frustrated with people at grocery store because there’s too many of them and you just needed some pre made pie crust in which the lady in front of you grabbed the last one.
You are frazzled.
But that’s not what Thanksgiving is about.
I have a shirt I wear that says:
“Let Thanks and Giving be more than just a season.”
As you go through this holiday season I implore you to slow down.
Take time to breathe and seek out more things to be thankful for.
Look for opportunities to give and serve.
When was the last time you served someone unexpectedly?
Imagine if we all did lived out these ideas during the holidays in particular (really all year long).
What a big difference it would make in your life and those around you!
Peace, calm, joy and serving would flow.
That sounds so much better to me!
I pray you enjoy your Thanksgiving week and remember to slow down!
Blessings,
